On Monday evening, first responders responded to a crash in southeast Wichita.
According to the Wichita Police Department, officers were summoned to the intersection of Lincoln Street and Rock Road at 6:15 p.m. for a report of an injury crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
Police suspect a woman in her early twenties was crossing Rock Road in a crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle driven by another woman.
At the moment, police do not know who has the right of way.
The pedestrian sustained potentially critical injuries.
Police have launched an inquiry to establish whether the motorist was inebriated. They’ve been brought into custody.
The investigation is underway.
