TWO KILLED IN WRONG-WAY CRASH on SH-6 Near Marlin; Investigation Underway

According to authorities, two people were killed in a horrific crash on SH-6 in Marlin caused by the motorist driving on the wrong side of the road.

On Thursday, about 7:58 p.m., Texas DPS responded to a crash on Business SH-6 near CR-2885 south of Marlin.

Following an investigation, DPS determined that a Cadillac CTS driving northbound crossed the wrong side of the road and collided with a Chevrolet Spark.

Jerry Hocking, 39, of Mart, and the passenger in the Chevrolet were both pronounced dead at the site. The driver of the Cadillac was sent to Baylor Scott and White in Waco with a non-life-threatening injury.

The passenger in the Chevrolet will be identified once the next of kin has been notified. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
