WICHITA, Kan – Five men were discovered shot to death inside three residences in the same neighborhood of Wichita, Kansas, and authorities believe the shootings are linked.
Police Chief Joe Sullivan said one of the people found dead Sunday was the suspected shooter, although he did not disclose.
Police believe all five knew each other, but the details of their relationships were not revealed. Police said Monday that the men’s ages ranged from 39 to 68. Officers responded to a report of a gunshot at 5:44 p.m. and discovered one guy dead inside a home.
Officers investigating his murder went to a nearby property and discovered three other bodies, according to a news release. Officers scouring the neighborhood noticed a fifth victim through the window of a third home, according to authorities.
“We have five victims who have died from gunshots,” Sullivan told reporters. “We believe that the investigation will determine that one of those victims was the shooter of all the other victims.”
