According to Louisiana State Police, a driver perished in a fiery automobile incident Thursday night on Highway 95 near Brangus Road.
State police said they were notified of the single-vehicle accident shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday.
According to a news release, a pickup truck was going south on Highway 95 when it drifted off to the right and collided with a tree while attempting to turn onto Brangus Road. The contact led the vehicle to become completely engulfed in flames.
The crash is still under investigation.
The driver’s identity has not yet been published, pending notification of relatives.
