Colorado Cities Rank Among the Dirtiest in America, but Avoid Top 30 Spots, Study Finds

According to the most recent research conducted by LawnStarter, the “dirtiest cities in America” study evaluated 303 communities in the United States based on factors such as air pollution, water quality, waste management, and citizen unhappiness.

Although nine cities in Colorado made the list, none of them made it into the top 30. Pueblo came in at number 106, followed by Colorado Springs at number 110, and Aurora came in at number 33, making it the highest-ranked city in the state.

Fort Collins came in at number 216, which is toward the bottom of the list, while Denver finished at number 144.

San Bernardino, California, Detroit, Michigan, and Reading, Pennsylvania were in first, second, and third place, respectively, as the most serious offenders in the United States.

The rankings that LawnStarter provided were derived from data collected from a variety of categories, and the overall standings were determined by calculating scores out of a possible 100 points.

The cities of Colorado avoided the worst rankings, despite the fact that they were included on the list. This is a reflection of the cleaner circumstances that exist in comparison to the most polluted locations in the study.
