Chilly Black Friday in North Texas Marks the Coldest Morning of the Season

Strong winds and humid weather will result in an exceptionally warm Sunday in North Texas.

However, the warm stretch will not last. A cold front is anticipated to arrive Monday morning. We are following changes for Monday as a cold front sweeps through the area.

The strong southerly winds we witnessed on Sunday shifted northerly behind the front about mid-morning, bringing in cooler air. Many places will be warmer in the morning before the front passes through, with temperatures dropping into the 50s by afternoon.

We expect a modest warm-up into Wednesday, with highs around 80 ahead of our next powerful cold front. It arrives to provide a cool down for Thanksgiving. The front will pass through dry, so prepare for a chilly and windy Christmas.

Friday morning is a First Alert Weather Day because it is the coldest morning of the season in North Texas, with temperatures in the 30s.

Bundle up if you’re going out early on Black Friday, and keep coats ready in the afternoon when temperatures only reach the mid-50s.

The week ahead will be dry with partly overcast skies.

Another front will pass through next weekend, keeping temperatures below normal for the beginning of December.
