
WINNSBORO — The Winnsboro Red Raiders took care of the Queen City Bulldogs 57-15 Friday night at Red Raider Stadium.
The Red Raiders produced 389 yards of total offense compared to the Bulldogs’ 307. The two sides were even with 14 first downs apiece. The Red Raiders won the turnover battle as they collected an interception and a fumble compared to Queen City scooping up a loose ball. The Red Raiders had four penalties for 25 yards compared to the Bulldogs’ four for 20.
Queen City completed 18-of-30 for 231 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in the passing game. The Red Raiders produced 2-of-2 for 42 yards and a touchdown. Most of the Red Raiders’ offense came on the ground as they pounded Queen City for 347 yards and six touchdowns on 34 carries while Queen City produced 76 yards and a touchdown on 21 rushes.
With a record of 0-2 in non-district play, Queen City takes on Hooks at Smith-Wall Stadium on Sept. 13.
