ATLANTA, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) says they will soon perform maintenance work on six bridges in Harrison County that run on Interstate 20.
The plans were approved in February by the transportation department.
“We will be conducting maintenance work on the concrete decking and replacing bridge railing as needed,” Marshall Area Engineer Wendy Starkes said. “Bridges scheduled for this work are at BNSF Railroad, Mason Creek and Clarks Creek.”
Work is expected to begin in May of 2022 and should take around nine months to complete, the transportation department says.
R&G Construction, LLC of Marshall was awarded the contract for the project with a bid of $639,848.
