Someone flung a searing liquid on two Dunn youths, who are now healing.
Dunn police reported that someone threw hot liquid on the teenagers. Police stated the substance was more than just water. Neighbors said they thought it was hot water mixed with bleach.
The Dunn Police Department stated Thursday that they had obtained arrest warrants for Kendra Lafaye McDougald, the mother of one of the victims.
Police think she is responsible for the teens’ injuries and have charged her with two charges of felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury, two counts of assault by hurling acid or alkali, and one count of criminal child abuse.
