NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas – A young woman was murdered in a Thanksgiving morning collision with a wrong-way driver in North Richland Hills.
It occurred around 2:15 a.m. Thursday on Northeast Loop 820.
North Richland Hills police say a 45-year-old man was driving the wrong way on the eastbound toll lanes when he collided with a 21-year-old female motorist.
The woman died as a result of the impact.
The man was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
Police did not specify if the motorist was drunk or had a medical issue.
Investigators are looking into the collision before deciding whether to seek criminal charges.
The woman’s name will be disclosed after family members have been notified.
