Two people were killed and numerous others sustained minor injuries when a semi-truck lost control of its vehicle and slammed with a wire barrier on Interstate 15 in Utah near mile marker 184. The accident occurred as a result of icy conditions, which caused the truck to lose control.
The aftermath of the collision rendered the northbound lanes inaccessible to traffic; however, they have now been made available to motorists.
According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the semi-truck, which was transporting a box trailer and a flatbed trailer, was driving on the snow-covered freeway before it suddenly veered off the road.
