A University of Wisconsin-Madison student is the only survivor of a crash that killed three college students in California last week.
Jordan Miller, 20, is a university student studying business, according to his father, who spoke with our NBC Bay Area affiliate.
The Cybertruck crashed early Wednesday morning, killing three other passengers in the vehicle.
According to police, the truck jumped the curb, collided with a cement wall, became jammed between the wall and a tree, and then caught fire.
According to authorities, a driver who observed the incident rescued him from the blazing truck. He remains in critical condition at the hospital.
All of them in the truck were college students returning home for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Officials are still investigating the crash. They believe the motorist may have been driving too quickly. According to the police chief, part of the investigation will focus on whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
According to police, there is no indication that the truck had technical troubles. They are still attempting to figure out how it caught fire.
The Cybertruck, which has been on sale for almost a year, has been recalled six times due to safety concerns, the most recent on November 5, according to the Associated Press.
