Three Men Wounded in South Memphis Shootings; Police Investigating Possible Connection

The Memphis Police Department is looking into two shootings that may be linked in South Memphis. Currently, at least three men are injured.

At 9:04 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of South Parkway and Florida Street. There, authorities discovered one individual with significant gunshot wounds. He was transported to Regional One Hospital for treatment.

Police said the suspect in this incident was a man dressed in a red shirt, black pants, and red shoes who was last seen on foot.

When Action News 5 crews arrived, the convenience store at the same junction was encircled by police tape, but it’s unclear whether that’s where the shooting took place.

Officers responded to a home in the 1800 block of South Lauderdale Street two minutes after receiving the first contact.

Police say two men were found with gunshot wounds. One was in critical condition, while the other was non-critical. According to MPD, the suspect in the shooting was a man dressed entirely in black.

Investigators are currently determining whether or not these shootings are connected.
