
PATTONVILLE, Texas – Jake Thompson continues to shine on the baseball diamond for Atlanta. Thursday he shut out Prairiland for a sweep of their 3A bi-district series, 11-0.
The Rabbs beat Prairiland Wednesday night in Atlanta, 5-1. Atlanta advances to the area round where the Rabbs will play Troup.
Thompson was the winning pitcher Thursday, allowing one hit and striking out four in the five-inning contest. Thompson also had three hits. Caleb Jameson had the Patriots’ only hit in the second inning.

Thompson also a factor at the plate
The Rabbs scored in the first after Max Ebarb walked. They broke the game open with four runs in the third.
Cade Rosser and Kolby Mason both walked in the third and eventually scored on a single by Kade Wood, who also had three hits in the game.
Mason and Ebarb both had a hit and drove in two runs each. Atlanta finished with nine hits, and didn’t commit an error.
Atlanta had several outstanding plays in the field, including a diving catch by Cooper McClure in the fifth inning.
