TCU-SMU game postponed by COVID outbreak among Horned Frogs

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — TCU and SMU postponed their Sept. 11 game in Fort Worth after after TCU announced Friday a cluster of coronavirus infections among players and team support staff.  TCU did not identify those infected with COVID-19 or say how many there are. Athletic director Jeremiah Donati said none of those infected is currently facing serious health issues. The announcement came the same day the Big 12 formally set a 53-player minimum to play a game. No makeup date was immediately set. TCU opens Big 12 play Sept. 26 against Iowa State. SMU plays Saturday at Texas State.
