This evening, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia will see the coldest temperatures of the season as a result of a powerful high-pressure system that is originating in the Arctic.
It is anticipated that inland regions will see a severe freeze, with temperatures falling into the low to mid-20s and thick frost to accompany the experience.
Temperatures will drop to the mid-20s to low 30s, and there will be a light freeze along the US-301 corridor, which is located immediately west of Interstate 95.
Low temperatures in coastal areas will range from the middle to upper 30s, and there is a possibility of frost.
On Wednesday, there will be a clear sky and more moderate temperatures, ranging from the high 50s to the low 60s. Make preparations for cold weather and protect plants that are sensitive to it.
