The Ore City Rebels trounced the Queen City Bulldogs 49-21 Friday night at Rebel Stadium.
The Rebels produced 462 yards of total offense and 19 first downs to the Bulldogs’ 312 and 13. Ore City rushed 32 times for 204 yards, and their passing game produced 15-of-25 for 258 yards with four touchdowns, though the Bulldogs defense did procure two interceptions. Queen City also recovered a lost fumble of the Rebels’.
Queen City rushed 38 times for 191 yards, and the passing game produced 6-of-20 for 121 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Bulldogs had two fumbles on the evening with Ore City recovering one of them.
Ore City actually punted more than the Bulldogs with two punts for a total of 89 yards. Queen City had one punt for 38 yards. Queen City had more penalties with 10 for 85 yards and the Rebels committing seven penalties for 70 yards.
The Bulldogs are 0-8 on the season with an 0-5 record in district play. Queen City takes to the road to take on the Waskom Wildcats next Friday night.
Ore City improves to 2-6 on the year with a 1-4 record in district play. The Rebels will travel next Friday night to northern Bowie County to take on the De Kalb Bears.
