
Senior quarterback Carson Rich came off the bench to throw two touchdown passes and run for another six-pointer Friday in helping Atlanta defeat district rival Redwater, 63-7.
Rich replaced starter Kade Wood in the second quarter after the Rabbs had romped out to an early 28-0 lead. Wood threw touchdown passes to Alijuah Drayton and Keyshawn Easter. Caleb Hamilton scored twice on runs of 70 and 42 yards.
Davis scores Redwater touchdown
The Dragons’ lone score came with 5:58 left in the first half on a 4-yard run by quarterback Preston Davis. Davis led Redwater’s offense with 117 yards on 17 carries.
Rich’s first touchdown pass was a 38-yarder to J.J. Fields, putting Atlanta up 35-7 at intermission.
Rich passed 20 yards to Joshua Edwards for six points in the third quarter, and also scored on a 20-yard keeper.
Dra Nelson scored for the host Rabbs in the fourth quarter on a 22-yard run. Xavier Coleman added the final six points on a 31-yard sprint.
