
ATLANTA, Texas — The Comeback Rabbs cracked the goose egg in the win column with when the Atlanta Rabbits beat the Gladewater Bears 35-28 Friday night at Rabbit Stadium.
With 6:35 to go in the game, quarterback Kade Wood threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Alijuah Drayton, and the two-point try put the Rabbs up 35-28. It was Drayton’s only catch of the night, and Wood would complete 6-of-12 for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
Caleb Hamilton led the Rabbs with 12 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Terunte Neal caught two passes for 111 yards and a touchdown while Jordan Stiger caught two passes for seven yards and a touchdown.
The Rabbits are 1-1 in non-district play and travel to Texarkana on Sept. 13 to take on the Pleasant Grove Hawks.
