
The Atlanta Rabbits beat the New Diana Eagles 4-3 at Marshall Maverick Field Friday sweeping the area high school baseball playoff series 2-games-to-none. The Rabbits area area champions.
Will Woodruff singled in the winning run for the Rabbits in the top of the seventh inning.
The Rabbits compiled 8 hits in the win with Woodruff,, Peyton Harrison and Corbin Farmer each racking up multiple hits.
Eli Dryden, Eli Stevens and Nick Burden all pitched well for the Rabbits with Stevens earning the win.
David Hooten the Rabbits coach said it was a team win
“It was a total team win, everybody contributed,” David Hooten, Atlanta Rabbits head baseball coach said. “We faced adversity late in the game by losing the lead, but the kids never quit.”
