No. 22 Texas A&M falls 5-4 to DBU

DALLAS — The No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies lost 5-4 to the Dallas Baptist Patriots Tuesday night at Horner Park.

Texas A&M starter Chandler Jozwiak worked 3.0 innings, gave up a run on two hits, and had two walks while striking out five. Chris Weber struck out three of the four batters he faced in 1.1 shutout innings. Kasey Kalich fanned two of his three batters in the ninth.

The Aggies had 15 strikeouts. However, they gave up three Dallas Baptist home runs.

Ty Condel, Logan Foster, and Bryce Blaum collected two hits each for the Aggies. The Maroon and White were doomed going 2-of-13 with runners in scoring position and eight runners left on base.

The loss dropped No. 22 Texas A&M to 15-4. Dallas Baptist improved to 13-3.

The Aggies start Southeastern Conference play Friday with Vanderbilt. First pitch from Olsen Field at Blue Bell park starts at 6:32 p.m.
