LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Mac McClung scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half and No. 17 Texas Tech led big early in an 80-46 victory over Troy in a replacement game for both teams. The Red Raiders were supposed to play St. John’s at home. The Trojans didn’t get to make a trip to Wake Forest. Both games were called off because of COVID-19 issues. The coaches made the quick adjustment through Texas ties going back years. Chris Beard of the Red Raiders was once an assistant at Texas Tech. Scott Cross, in his second season at Troy, spent 20 years at Texas-Arlington.
