On Tuesday afternoon, the Connecticut State Police (CSP) are investigating a collision involving many vehicles that resulted in multiple people being injured.
It was approximately 1:30 p.m. on December 10 when the collision took place in Norwich, Connecticut.
It has been reported by the California State Police that a Kenworth truck was going in a construction zone on southbound Interstate 395 when it rear-ended another truck.
After that, the truck with the back end collided with a car and an SUV. According to the Yantic Fire Engine Company #1, “A truck that was transporting a large beam rear-ended the other box truck, which caused the load to slide down the length of the trailer and into the cab of the truck, which pinned the driver.”
After being trapped within the cab, the truck driver needed to be extricated from the vehicle. As a result of his severe injuries, he entered the hospital.
Two additional people sustained minor injuries.
