Three people were taken into custody after officials in western Wisconsin seized a record amount of methamphetamine, which was estimated to be worth more than 360 thousand dollars, following an investigation that lasted for many months.
At the end of an investigation into a drug trafficking operation that began in June and resulted in the recovery of nearly ten pounds of methamphetamine within the city of Eau Claire, the West Central Drug Task Force concluded its investigation in August, as stated by the Eau Claire Police Department.
Officers have stated that it is estimated that the quantity of meth has a street value that is greater than 360 thousand dollars.
Three people were taken into jail and indicted on federal charges as a direct result of the investigation that began. Included in this are:
- 31, Xa Xiong, a resident of St. Paul
- May Xue Kong, age 41, a resident of Eau Claire
- John Soung, age 47, a resident of Eau Claire
A total of six counties in Wisconsin, ranging from the Mississippi River to the middle of the state, are represented by law enforcement officers who are members of the West Central Drug Task Force.
