Two Missouri lottery players may be sitting on a life-changing $1 million prize—without even knowing it.
The Missouri Lottery is searching for the holders of two unclaimed Mega Millions tickets purchased in late 2024. One ticket, bought on October 19 at The Pantry located at 164 Fall Creek Drive in Branson, must be claimed by April 23, 2025, or the prize will expire.
The second unclaimed ticket was sold at a QuikTrip on 10150 N.E. Cookingham Road in Kansas City for the November 15 drawing. That $1 million prize must be claimed by May 14, 2025.
Under Missouri Lottery rules, winnings must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. After that, the money is redirected to the state’s public education fund.
Officials are urging all players to search purses, coat pockets, wallets, and even car consoles for forgotten tickets.
They’ve also reminded players of the proper steps if they discover a winner: sign the back of the ticket, follow the correct claim process for the prize amount, and act before the deadline. For prizes like these, players can claim their winnings at a Lottery Claim Center, by mail, or through the online e-Claim system.
With the deadlines quickly approaching, these two tickets could still change someone’s life—if they’re found in time.
