MCKINNEY, Texas – One of the smallest players on the court played the biggest Friday at the Region II-2A semifinals at McKinney Boyd High School.
Point guard Keldyn Schubert poured in a game-high 29 points to help rally McLeod (35-2) past Muenster, 53-46.
Muenster (26-6) led 12-11 after the first eight minutes, and 23-19 at intermission.

The Longhorns tied the game at 32-32 going into the final quarter, which McLeod dominated. Schubert dished out 8 assists, and had 5 steals. Nobody else scored in double figures for the Horns. Post Trevor Deal contributed 8 points and 10 rebounds. Kobe Bonner had 9 points.
Muenster was led by Bryson Culwell’s 16 points. Danny Luttmer scored 13, while Grant Hess added 10.
McLeod’s final roadblock to San Antonio and the state tournament is unbeaten Martin’s Mill (31-0).
