Man Hospitalized After Throat Slashing at Kwik Trip in West Salem

Authorities in western Wisconsin are investigating a case in which a man’s throat was sliced at a Kwik Trip on Monday night.

According to the statement, on Oct. 21, soon after 7 p.m., the West Salem Police Department was summoned to a Kwik Trip just off Interstate 90 to help a guy whose neck had been cut by another male who fled the scene in a red semi-truck with a trailer.

When cops arrived, they discovered the victim had suffered a significant, but non-life-threatening, laceration to his neck and chest. The sufferer was taken to a local hospital and eventually released.

This occurrence is thought to be isolated, with no threat to the public. According to preliminary information, the confrontation occurred in the Kwik Trip parking lot between two truck drivers who had no prior knowledge of each other and no link to West Salem or the surrounding neighborhood.
