Linden-Kildare tops Hawkins 8-4


TATUM, Texas — The Linden-Kildare Tigers outlasted the Hawkins Hawks 8-4 Friday night in game two of the area playoffs.

Mason Johnson was the winning pitcher for the Tigers as he went 6.1 innings, giving up six hits, four runs, striking out seven, allowing two walks, and two hit-by-pitches. Johnson also provided the Tigers with 2-4 at the plate with two runs.

Hunter Crenshaw went 2-of-4 with two RBI. Colton Anderson was 2-3 with a BB.

Jonathan Owen got the save for Linden-Kildare.

Julian Frazier was the losing pitcher for Hawkins.

Jeramy Torres led the Hawks going 2-3 with a run. Drew Dacus provided Hawkins with a run and went 1-3 at the plate.
