Linden-Kildare drilling for wins with former Oiler

Linden-Kildare

Linden-Kildare is turning to a former Houston Oiler to lead their team to postseason success in 2021 and beyond.

Don’t worry — while they may be wildcatting, they are still the Tigers.

Kyle Freeman played linebacker for the Oilers in 1991, but an injury derailed his career and he stayed around the game by getting into coaching.

The Tigers are getting some experience back with 16 lettermen, and have five returning starters on offense and defense respectively.

The run game figures to be a big part of the Tiger attack with fullback Taeshun Mitchell and running back JaQuavious Birmingham. L-K will also have a weapon on the perimeter with Jackson Lee at tight end. Quarterback Jonathan Owen, a senior, should have enough weapons to help Linden-Kildare move the football.

The defense is led by Lee and a host of other two-way players.
