Texas Tech Red Raiders pitcher Caleb Kilian earned the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.
The right-hander earned the first pitching honor for the Red Raiders since 2017 and it is the first of the junior’s career.
The northpaw picked up the nod after his first win of the season in game one versus the Texas Longhorns. Clayton Beeter teamed up with Kilian to produce a one-hit shutout. Kilian went 7.0 innings and allowed three base runners and a hit with two walks while fanning four.
Texas Tech picks up its fourth such weekly honor for the 2019 season.
