Jobs at Risk: Minnesota Facility Closure to Result in Significant Layoffs

Teleflex has notified the state of Minnesota of its plans to permanently close its facility in Maple Grove, resulting in the layoff of approximately 101 employees.

The company issued a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act letter, which was received by Minnesota’s State Rapid Response Team (SRRT).

According to the notice, Teleflex intends to cease all laboratory and manufacturing operations at the Maple Grove location on June 30. Permanent layoffs will begin to take effect starting July 1.

The closure involves Teleflex and its Arrow business and will affect a range of employees at the site. The WARN Act requires companies to provide advance notice of significant layoffs or facility closures to ensure workers and local governments have time to prepare and respond.

The state confirmed the receipt of the WARN notice and is expected to work with affected employees to provide resources and support during the transition.

Teleflex is a global provider of medical technologies, and the Maple Grove facility has been part of its manufacturing and laboratory operations.
