The Hughes Springs Mustangs ran past the Queen City Bulldogs 44-13 Friday evening.
Queen City had 35 carries for 67 yards. Kentrel Andrews had seven carries for 36 yards, and Ale Shelton had 20 carries for 17 yards and a touchdown.
Shelton also went 10-of-23 passing for 158 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
Damir Rascoe had six catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. Mennasah Drayton had four catches for 33 yards.
The Bulldogs had a fumble, which they lost, and had three turnover-on-downs, and churned 225 yards of total offense.
The Mustangs had 424 yards on 55 carries as part of a 445-yard total offense outing.
Trenton Bolden had 10 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Trevor Bolden had 16 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown. Lynnquaveous Baird had nine rushes for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyson Daigle completed one pass on two attempts for 21 yards and a touchdown. Patrick Boyd caught that touchdown pass.
The Mustangs had three fumbles, two of which they lost. Hughes Springs also had two turnover-on-downs.
