Texas Longhorns infielder Masen Hibbeler has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The senior hit a go-ahead two-run single in the sixth inning and later scored after passing third base and scoring on an errant throw. The Cypress, Texas, product drove in the game-winning run with another RBI single in the eighth inning.
Hibbeler went 4-of-4 with two RBI and three runs against Texas Southern in the program’s midweek series.
The senior is the fifth Longhorn to win a weekly award in 2019.
