Shoppers in California hoping to use Forever 21 gift cards or store credits have just days left before they become worthless, as the fast-fashion giant shutters all U.S. operations following its second bankruptcy filing in six years.
Forever 21 announced in late March that all remaining U.S. stores would close by May 1. The company has since confirmed that gift cards and store credit will only be honoured through Monday, April 15.
“Our stores will remain open for the time being, and we will continue to fulfil customer orders placed online,” the company said in a statement. “We also will continue to honour customer gift cards and store credit through and including April 15, 2025.”
But California shoppers may have even less time depending on their location, as some stores have already shut their doors ahead of schedule, and others are rapidly clearing out inventory with up to 80% off both online and in-store.
Dozens of California Stores Are Closing — or Already Closed
With locations across the state now entering final liquidation, it’s unclear exactly how long individual stores will remain open. Here’s a list of California Forever 21 locations impacted by the closure, many of which may have already closed or are in their final days:

Last Chance to Use Your Gift Cards
If you’ve got a Forever 21 gift card tucked away, now is the time to spend it. After Tuesday, April 15, all remaining balances will expire and can no longer be redeemed in store or online.
Shoppers can currently take advantage of major discounts—up to 80% off—as the chain continues to liquidate inventory. But with dozens of stores already closing across California, the window to shop in person is quickly closing.
