A segment of Interstate 10 has reopened near the Arizona-California border, hours after a fatal incident involving three semi trucks early Friday morning.
The Department of Public Safety reported that three semi trucks and two other vehicles crashed on eastbound I-10 near Quartzsite shortly before 5 a.m. While information is limited at this moment, troopers have confirmed one person’s death.
According to authorities, other drivers had minor injuries.
Traffic was diverted off Dome Rock Road until the eastbound lanes reopened soon before 3 p.m. However, ADOT advises drivers to expect delays in the region.
