CHRISTUS launches app to help patients with health and wellness

CHRISTUS

IRVING, Texas — CHRISTUS is adding several new and simple ways for patients and communities to access care. The redesigned CHRISTUSHealth.org makes it easier than ever to find an appointment plus the MyCHRISTUS App conveniently connects patients to their health records on any device. Coupled with the recently added On Demand Care, CHRISTUS continues its commitment to provide convenient, affordable care to the communities it serves.

MyCHRISTUS App:

MyCHRISTUS is available on iOS and Android devices, and lets patients efficiently manage their health and stay connected to their providers. Some of the MyCHRISTUS App features include the ability to communicate directly with doctors via messages and virtual requests, prescription refills, review lab results, and find the closest emergency department or urgent care.

We custom-designed MyCHRISTUS for our patients to provide a safe and secure communications tool. The app delivers a better patient experience and is more convenient and accessible with new features not available before,” explained Sam Bagchi, M.D., Executive Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer, CHRISTUS Health. “It’s our caregivers, our technology and we’re excited to make it available free of charge to the communities we serve.”

CHRISTUSHealth.org

CHRISTUS Health’s new website design improves access to information on the conditions, procedures, and treatments patients are looking for. Plus, it connects patients to the clinicians and locations closest to them.

CHRISTUSHealth.org optimizes online scheduling, connecting patients with physicians based on location, and provide effortless, intuitive search capabilities. Visitors also find integrated content on health conditions, services, risk assessments and inspiring stories from patients and Associates. In addition, well-produced videos will engage and enhance the overall experience.

“The CHRISTUS Health website includes an abundance of information about physicians, locations, services and health conditions,” said Tina Barker, Senior Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Digital. “Patients and consumers now experience a customized site and easily find the care they need – whether on-demand, virtual, primary or specialty care.”

On Demand Care

In May, CHRISTUS Health drastically expanded access to health care with the launch of CHRISTUS On Demand Care in Texas and Louisiana. These virtual visits allow patients to meet with a CHRISTUS Health clinician through live video from their phone, tablet or computer for their urgent care needs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days of the week – even holidays. This new service complements scheduled virtual visits that are already available to new and existing patients.

“We respond to the needs of our community and people told us they want to feel the care they get is more personal, more convenient and timelier,” said Paul Generale, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer for CHRISTUS Health. “The transformation and offerings of CHRISTUS Health’s new digital tools offer further opportunities for consumers to engage with us on their terms and schedules with customized content.”

CHRISTUS Health is committed to ensuring a unique healing experience that respects the dignity and worth of each patient. CHRISTUS Health embodies these values by providing compassionate patient care and now easily accessible and intuitive digital tools that further expand the CHRISTUS mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

“We are united to provide great service to our communities. The core of what we do every day is to provide convenient, coordinated, and personal health care in the most appropriate setting,” said Ernie Sadau, Chief Executive Officer and President of CHRISTUS Health. “Our new digital presence aims to meet the needs of the people we serve while offering them a superior online experience, rich with solutions that create value, enhance their experience, and further empower our patients and their families.
