DE KALB, Texas — The Atlanta bats exploded with 14 hits as the Rabbits demolished the De Kalb Bears 15-3 Tuesday evening.
Ty Graf was 2-3 at the plate with five RBI, two runs, and a walk. Graf drove in runs on a double in the first inning. The Rabbs benefited by scoring two runs on the 2-2 count double. Graf also had a double in the second. Graf also had a sacrifice fly in the third.
“We swung the bats well tonight with runners in scoring position,” coach Dave Hooten said. “Will Woodruff solidified our lead with a quality outing on the mound. A lot of guys contributed to the win tonight.”
Woodruff went four innings and allowed just three hits and a run while striking out four and giving up one walk. Peyton Harrison and Cooper McClure entered the game from the bullpen. Harrison went one inning and produced a strikeout and a walk. McClure also went an inning and gave up two hits, two runs, but collected two strikeouts.
McClure was effective at the plate as he went 2-3 with two hits, three RBI, a home run, and four runs scored.
The Rabbs take on the New Boston Lions Friday at New Boston.
