
NEW BOSTON, Texas — The Atlanta Rabbis forced three takeaways from the New Boston Lions and trounced them 54-6 Friday night at Lion Stadium.
Kade Wood completed 3-of-7 for 141 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also caught two passes for 14 yards. Cooper McClure added 5-of-6 through the air for 46 yards, along with a 57-yard touchdown run.
J.J. Fields was the Rabbs’ leading receiver with two catches for 106 yards. Terunte Neal caught a 35-yard touchdown pass as his lone reception.
The Rabbs had eight first downs, converted 1-of-4 on third downs, and had nine penalties for 80 yards. The defense procured two takeaways in the form of a Fields interception and a Kentrell Adams pick.
Atlanta moves to 4–2 overall with a 2-0 record in district play. The Rabbs host Hughes Springs on Oct. 11.
New Boston is 0-6 overall with an 0-2 record in district play. The Lions take on the Hooks Hornets on Oct. 11.
