Driving rain nor the Gladewater Bears could stop the Atlanta Rabbits football team Friday night in Gladewater. The Rabbits went on a scoring rampage defeating Gladewater 42-21.

Atlanta improved to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in district. The win was one more giant step in a huge turnaround from last season when the Rabbits went winless for the first time since 1935. This year Tyler Morton took over the helm and Atlanta has clinched a playoff spot and has a chance to win a district championship going into the last game of the year.

“I could not be more proud of these kids and the coaching staff,” Coach Morton said. “These kids are resilient and they have a lot of heart.”

Atlanta will host Tatum Friday at 7 p.m. at Rabbit Stadium. The Rabbits versus Tatum game will be broadcazsted live on KPYN 900 AM, 103.9 FM, KPYN.net, and KPYN on the Radio Streaming Now APP.
