
ATHENS, Texas – After getting off to a tough start with bad weather on Saturday, Clayton Primrose and Garon Dupree with the Atlanta Anglers were able to regroup on Sunday and finished in the top 100 teams in the Texas High School Bass Association State Championship held this past weekend on Ceder Creek Lake Reservoir.
The Atlanta Anglers started the THSBA season with 1400 young men and women competing for an opportunity to fish this past weekend. The State tournament consisted of the top 283 teams (566 Anglers). The Texas High School Bass Association gave out over 80,000 in scholarships and prizes.

Next tournament is Angler of the Year at Eagle Mountain Lake on June 22nd.

It is the goal of the Texas High School Bass Association to provide a venue where high school students have the opportunity to compete in organized tournaments while establishing strict guide lines and academic standards that will allow our student anglers to excel in the class room and on the lake.
