Multiple Bodies, Including Children, Discovered in Washington Home: Investigation Launched

Authorities in Washington State have initiated an investigation after discovering the remains of many people, including children, inside a residence early Monday morning, October 21.

The King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE that deputies responded to allegations of a probable suicide at a Fall City, Washington, residence about 5 a.m.

According to the office, officers arrived at the scene and quickly concluded it was a “homicide investigation with multiple deaths.”

“It is looking like a possible domestic violence situation with no danger to the public,” the sheriff’s office stated.

The office admits that the victims are both minors and adults, but does not identify the number of victims or their ages. Police believe the victims are family members.

Police have not stated the motivation for the killings or the causes of death for the victims.

According to authorities, one resident is cooperating with detectives, and at least one individual has been transported to the hospital. It was unclear whether either of these guys was the suspect.

Several paramedics and first responders who talked with KIRO 7 stated that the suspected shooter was a family member who attempted suicide. PEOPLE called the sheriff’s department, which declined to comment on the claim.

An investigation is ongoing.
