New Jersey Man Arrested for Posing as Dentist and Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Patient

According to authorities, a guy posing as a dentist in New Jersey was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a female patient who believed he was authentic.

Police were summoned to an office building on Route 46 in Fairfield on Monday, where officers spoke with a lady who said she had been sexually assaulted by a man she met for a dental operation, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The 31-year-old male was identified as Jonathan Colombo of Orange Township. According to law police, Colombo advertised himself as a dentist on social media, using the Instagram accounts “newyoudental” and “newyousmiles.”

The woman informed police that she had seen Colombo’s advertisements online, in which he promised that he could deliver dental veneers at a discounted rate. According to the prosecutor’s office, the two communicated via social media before agreeing on a price for the veneers. She then scheduled a meeting with him on October 14 at the Fairfield office.

Prosecutors allege that Colombo sexually molested the victim after performing the operation.

Colombo was accused of practicing dentistry without a license. It was unclear what charges he will face in connection with the alleged sexual assault. Colombo’s attorney contact information was not provided.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information on these or similar claims is requested to call the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office at 1-877-847-7432.
