A man faces charges after allegedly shooting a 61-year-old lady after a road rage incident in Kendall on Tuesday, according to police.

Javier Polo, 29, is charged with attempted second-degree murder after reportedly getting off his motorcycle to quarrel with the woman and shooting her leg.

According to an arrest complaint for Polo, the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near 137th Avenue and Southwest 88th Street.

According to the arrest report, Polo “approached the victim’s vehicle from the driver’s side, produced a firearm, and pointed the firearm towards the victim, while engaging in a dispute.”

He then reholstered his gun and parked his motorcycle in the middle of the road, according to authorities. According to the arrest report, the situation deteriorated when Polo and the victim exited their automobiles to quarrel in the street.

Polo allegedly fired a single shot, striking the woman in the upper right leg.

When officers arrived, they detained Polo, and the victim was transported to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Authorities claimed they discovered a revolver in his front waistband, a spent case on the road, and a car hit by gunfire.

According to the report, the victim was a small-framed old woman, whereas the defendant was a large-framed young male.
