Texas Husband Arrested as Wife Remains Missing, Charged With Assault and Unlawful Restraint

The husband of a missing Texas lady has been arrested and charged with assault and domestic abuse.

Suzanne Clark Simpson has gone missing since Monday, October 7, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

KSAT reported, citing authorities, that she was last seen at a party with her husband on October 6 before going home. According to WOAI, Simpson, a mother and realtor from Olmos Park, Texas, has yet to be found by authorities.

According to Kendall County jail records, Brad Simpson was arrested and charged with assault resulting in bodily injury to a family member and unlawful restraint.

Olmos Park police chief Fidel Villegas stated at a press conference televised by KENS on October 9 that Brad Simpson was arrested after failing to appear for a meeting with police.

Villegas said that after learning of Suzanne’s abduction, authorities were notified of an incident at the family’s house, which may have gotten physical before she was reported missing.

Though he did not say whether Brad was a suspect in Suzanne’s abduction, Villegas claimed that the husband was a suspect in the alleged attack.

It is unclear whether Brad has entered a plea or retained an attorney.

Villegas stated that Brad and Suzanne had been married for almost 22 years. Suzanne has three children with Brad, according to her Nix Realty Company description, and is “very involved in the school and sports activities of their children.”

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Olmos Police Department at 210-822-2000.
