Texas Suspect Charged With Killing Father and Son, Told Cpr Rescuer to Stop: Police Reports

A Texas man is accused of fatally shooting a father and son before asking a woman performing CPR on them to stop, According to an arrest affidavit received by various publications.

Romi Frentescu is being held at McLennan County Jail on two counts of capital murder, according to jail records.

According to an arrest affidavit reported by the Waco Tribune, KWTX, and KCEN, officers in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas, responded to a woman giving CPR on a wounded man on Saturday, Oct. 5. According to reports, the woman informed investigators that she had stopped to conduct chest compressions when a man in a truck stopped and urged her to stop because he wanted the man to die before leaving the area.

According to reports, the individual was later recognized as Frentescu.

According to PEOPLE, the victims were a father and son, Michael Morris, 38, and Braxton Johnson, 18.

According to the purported affidavit, Frentescu contacted 911 to report that he had been jumped and was on his way home. When questioned by police, Francesca allegedly told them that a man had “flipped him off,” according to reports.

According to the affidavit, Frentescu informed police that before the altercation, he followed the man and ordered him to leave him alone.

According to the affidavit, Frentescu then claimed he was threatened with a knife after the struggle began and was on the ground when he began shooting his revolver.

It is unclear whether Frentescu has been charged or has entered a plea. He is being detained on a $1 million bond.
