Man, 24, Found Dead From Trauma Inside Indianapolis Apartment Identified as Caleb Aubrey

Investigators have identified the identity of a 24-year-old man found slain inside an apartment on Indianapolis’ northeast side.

A little bouquet remained on the front steps of an apartment on Wyckfield Way, where the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department discovered a man dead just after 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Police are still investigating what caused the homicide. According to the Marion County Coroner’s Office, the victim, Caleb Aubrey, 24, died as a result of trauma. IMPD could not be more specific.

Aubrey’s friends claimed the victim grew up in Noblesville.

They called him a hardworking youngster with a wonderful heart.

The apartment complex where the incident occurred has a low rate of violent crime.

Although a notice was displayed on the front door warning that drug-related compounds were discovered inside the flat, authorities would not confirm whether narcotics had a role in the incident.

“We are in the early stages of the investigation. IMPD officer Drew Brown stated, “Our detectives are looking for clues, and we also need the public’s help.”

So far, IMPD has no suspect information to offer.

Police recognize that instances like this are difficult to solve without witnesses coming forward.

“Yes, we don’t do it alone. This is the community we serve. Any loss of life is painful, and a family receives devastating news at their door. “If this were your family, you would want answers,” Brown added.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact Detective James Hurt at the IMPD Homicide Office at 317.327.3475 or via email at [email protected].

If they want to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS).
