A person who was found guilty of sexually exploiting more than a dozen young boys and girls and filming the act was sentenced to sixty years in federal prison on Thursday, according to officials. The individual was 26 years old.
According to Leigha Simonton, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Kaleb Layne Nix was indicted in July and pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual exploitation of a minor in August. Nix was charged with exploiting a kid sexually.
Nix’s sentence would also run consecutively to any sentence given down in sexual assault and child pornography cases that are now pending against Nix, according to the announcement made by U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman.
According to the statements made in the court filings, the investigation was prompted by a cyber tip that stated an internet user had uploaded sexually explicit photographs of youngsters.
According to the officials, Nix was identified as the user, and his phone was investigated, during which various videos and photographs of Nix sexually exploiting at least 15 young boys and girls were discovered.
Nix’s profile picture was presented to the authorities by a parent who disclosed that his family had utilized an online daycare service to schedule babysitters.
