A warm front will keep showers flowing tonight, and an impending cold front could spark storms late Tuesday.
Tonight
Showers are probable during the first half of the day, with thunderstorms more likely in the evening and overnight. Expect highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s, with winds from the south at 10-15 mph and gusting to over 25 mph.
The highest winds are expected overnight and into Wednesday morning as the cold front moves through. The western half of Middle Georgia is under a Level 1 “Marginal” threat from severe weather.
This is primarily due to the wind gust threat. Flash flooding in low-lying places cannot be ruled out. Overnight lows will fall into the high 40s and lower 50s, with winds from the south-southwest at 10-17 mph and gusting over 30 mph.
Wednesday and Beyond
Rain may continue when Wednesday begins due to a cold front rolling through, but it should clear off by lunchtime.
Conditions are predicted to remain gloomy until lunchtime before clearing into the night. Middle Georgia will have a dryer and cooler conditions on the back side of the front on Thursday and Friday.
