Weekend Weather: Cold Nights and Mild Days for Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina

Much of Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina will experience a cool weekend as high pressure builds in, bringing clear skies and seasonably cold temperatures.

A frost advisory is in effect for locations distant from the coast, where temperatures are anticipated to fall into the 30s tonight.

Coastal areas, on the other hand, will experience milder weather with temperatures ranging from the high 30s to the low 40s.

Looking ahead, temperatures will start to rise on Sunday, reaching the lower 60s under largely sunny skies.

By Monday, a warming trend will have sent highs into the upper 60s and lower 70s, with moderate nights following. Showers are forecast to return on Tuesday night.
