Cool Mornings and Rain Chances Return to North Texas Ahead of Upcoming Cold Front

NORTH TEXAS  – Tuesday morning in Dallas-Fort Worth was cool, with temperatures in the mid-50s and upper 40s. However, by the afternoon, highs had risen beyond average, peaking in the mid-70s over North Texas.

More of the same is expected Wednesday, with a few more clouds in the morning when a cold front moves through.

A few regions may get sporadic showers, but we will all notice gusty northwesterly winds behind the front.

On Thursday, colder air will settle across the region, with morning lows in the 40s. The crisp mornings in North Texas will continue through the weekend.

The approaching weekend will signal a shift in the weather trend. Along with the change, another chance of rain is forecast from Sunday evening until Monday.

Clouds and moisture will rise this weekend ahead of our next system. Models are slowing the front’s approach, bringing it in on Monday with showers and thunderstorms.

Looking ahead to late next week, Thursday and Friday will be cold—with mornings in the 30s and highs in the 50s.

Enjoy the pleasant stretch before the cold weather arrives.
